Putter Custom Fitting - Loft & Lie
Using our Mitchell Tour Gauge Loft & Lie Machine (see image), we are able to measure and alter your existing putter or a new putter to the required set-up specifications.
Putter Loft
Ensuring the correct loft is maintained through impact will ensure the best possible roll is achieved. This is why we use our Putter Fitting Technology to track your dynamic impact position combined with high-speed ball roll capture. Watch the videos below for an example of a good v poor ball roll.
Putter manufacturers have their "standard" loft, which varies from company to company, but that does not mean it will work for you. It's much like having a driver with too little or too much loft, it will simply not perform. Therefore players like Mickelson, that have alot of forward press, may require more loft to ensure the launch angle off the putter isn't too low at impact creating more of a bouncing roll as it's driven in to the grass.
Lie Angle
Once the correct putter length has been determined, the putter head lie angle can be accurately measured using our SAM Puttlab.
Having the correct lie anlge will reduce the chance of hitting the putt off-line, even if all other parameters of the stroke and putter are correct!
It is not possible to solely rely on static fitting, as the dynamic movements of the stroke can affect the putter position at impact, which is the only time the ball "knows" what you are doing!
Length & Weight Adjustments
The first thing you need to do is select the correct length for your set-up & posture. Once this has been established, we are able to choose the correct weight setting for the putter and add consistency to set-up.

Custom Fitting Your Own Putter(s) - £75
This session lasts 1 Hour and includes Pure Putting Coaching using our SAM Puttlab & SAM BalanceLab systems combined with V1 Video Analysis. This ensures that your set-up and stroke are in working order before we make any alterations to existing putters for the following:

Grip Type & Size

Scotty Cameron Experience - £320
This experience lasts approximately 2 hours and includes a custom fitted Scotty Cameron putter & Putting Coaching using our SAM Puttlab & SAM BalanceLab systems combined with V1 Video Analysis. This ensures that your set-up and stroke are in working order before testing various Scotty Cameron Putters.
Once your putter has been chosen, it will be fitted for the following:
Choice of any Studio Select or California Models
Loft, Lie, Length & Weight (including +10g Heavy option)
Choice of Scotty Cameron Grip from Selected Range

Putter Loft & Lie Alterations
Using our Mitchell Tour Gauge Putter Loft & Lie Machine, we able to make alterations to new or existing putters to ensure that whatever the putter, it will sit correctly for you and create the best possible roll characteristics based on your impact conditions.
Putter Porting & Milling
Many modern day putters offer a choice of head weights depending on the chosen length. If this is not available, then we are now able to add/remove weight from the putter head using our milling machine. We are also able to add sight-lines & sight-dots should you wish to improve strike and aim.
Putter Weighting & Balancing
We are able to offer putters with different head weights to suit your putting style. We also offer counter-balancing which is the art of placing weight further up the shaft to create a more even distribution of weight in the putter.
Putter Length Alterations & Re-shafting
Ensuring your putter is the correct length will allow you to maintain a consistent posture & set-up, therefore we can either extend or shorten your putter to the desired length. We are also able to re-shaft putters whether to replace a broken or worn shaft or choosing one of our "specialist" shafts.
Putter Re-gripping
We keep in stock a vast choice of grips including the entire 2-Thumb range, Winn, Golf Pride, Lamkin, Iomic as well as branded grips such as Scotty Cameron & Odyssey if you are looking for a replacement grip.
