    Putter Custom Fitting Overview

    Putter custom fitting ensures the most important club in the bag, the putter, is set-up correctly for you. We will therefore assess your putting stroke mechanics before custom fitting a putter to a potentially poor style of putting. This way you get the best of both worlds, putting stroke improvement & a custom fitted putter to suit your style of putting.

    During your Putter Custom Fitting, we will use all of the analysis systems at our disposal to ensure that we get the putter selection right for you, and set-up exactly for your style of putting using our Mitchell Tour Gauge Putter Loft & Lie Machine.

    There are many styles of putter on the market at the moment so with the information collected about your putting stroke, we are in a better position to advise you as to whether you would be better suited to one or some of the following putters:

    Face-balanced or Heel-toe weighted putter

    Centre shafted or Heel shafted

    Off-set, On-set or No-offset

    Mallet shape or more Traditional Anser style

    Double-bend or Single-bend shaft profile

    Whatever the choice of putter, it must be appealing to you, feel good off the face and allow you to adopt the correct posture to ensure the correct putting mechanics are maintained. This is why the final phase of the putter custom fitting is to ensure not only the loft & lie and grip size is correct, but also the length of the putter shaft.
