(1) What is V1 On-Line Academy?

Our V1 On-Line Academy was launched in November 2009 to ensure continuity of coaching after the completion of a lesson.

It will allow our coaches to regularly interact with players if they cannot visit the academy regularly.

All lessons will automatically become a member of the academy, after which they can decide to upgrade their membership level depending on their coaching needs/time constraints.

We find many lessons travel too far to warrant visiting us on a regular basis, so this system will allow the good work to continue away from the studio.

(2) How does the on-line academy work?

Once you have visited our Short Game Academy, your analysis will be sent to your own personal on-line locker.

You will then receive an email notifying you that your analysed video is ready for viewing. If you have a smartphone (Blackberry, iPhone etc) you may also have a text notification sent to your mobile which will enable you to view the on-line lesson on your phone.

New on-line academy members will receive a username & password within the first email to gain access to the on-line locker. You will be able to personalise access details once logged in.

You will then have the option to do any of the following:

View the analysed video directly from your locker
Send the video to your mobile phone
Share the video on your Facebook page (this requires you to link accounts)
Upload & download videos using V1 Home Edition Software

(3) What is my username & password?

This will be assigned automatically to you when the first video is uploaded to your locker.

You will be able to alter these details when you have logged in.

(4) What is the procedure for uploading video´s to be analysed?

If you wish to upload a video for our Professional Staff to analyse, then you must first download the V1 Home Edition 2.0 Software which is FREE. Click here to download

This option is only available to existing members of Gilroy´s Golf Short Game Academy.

You must specify which coach you would like to analyse your video, this can be done during the upload phase.

You will be able to access your locker through the V1 software on your computer by entering your username & password as well as selecting "Gilroy´s Golf Academy GGGA".

(5) Buying On-Line Golf Lessons

As part of any analysis session at Gilroy´s Golf this service is included in the lesson price.

If you wish to upload videos of your putting stroke or swing then you must download V1 Home Edition 2.0 Software which is FREE.

Before our Professional´s analyse your video, you are required to purchase one of our "on-line golf packages" if it is not already included in your membership.

(6) Uploading & Downloading Videos

You can upload & download any videos using the V1 Home Edition 2.0 software provided you are logged in to Gilroy´s Golf Academy.

When uploading "your" video for Gilroy´s Golf Academy to analyse, please follow these rules:

1. Use a sufficiently powerful camera/video camera to capture your swing;

2. View our sample video to illustrate the best way to capture either the putting stroke and/or the full swing;

3. Ensure that the video clip is no longer than 10 seconds in duration;

(7) I have V1 Home Edition 2.0 Software, how do I link with Gilroy´s Golf Academy?

Launch the application and then click on the padlock icon.

Enter your ID "username & password" and under "Academy", select "A Custom Academy" and locate Gilroy´s Golf Academy "GGGA/GOLF".

Finally, click "Log In". Once accepted, the log in box will disappear and you will be automatically connected to the academy.

You can now upload your own videos for us to analyse or download analysed videos from your on-line locker for playback in your V1 Analysis Application.

(8) I want to upload a video but I am not a member, how do I regsiter and what is your "Pro Code"?

To upload a video you need to firstly register with V1 on-line using Pro Code "6575". There is a link to register in the top right of the website.

Once registered, you need to download V1 Home Edition software to be able to upload videos to our server.

Another way is to upload your video to YouTube and either download the video through the V1 Home Edition software or send us a link and we can do it for you.

Just remember, if you are not on one of our packages then we will not analyse videos until payment has been received.
